Aura at College Park Construction Update: May 2013

Shall we say that Aura at College Park truly will be a landmark condo in the City of Toronto? Whether you're looking from the North, South, East or West, Aura is standing tall. She really is a beauty!
We have watched closely as she has made her presence slowly in the sky. It's hard to believe that she is close to being 60 storeys as of now. Another 18 more floors to go and she will be complete. If you haven't had a chance to visit the retail components of Aura at College Park, you definitely should. The entire corner of Yonge and Gerrard appears to have taken new life. The hustle and bustle of this corner now has the same feeling as a busy corner in New York. Once the residents have moved in, it is quite possible that this corner will become one of the most visited in the City of Toronto.

Aura College Park Construction Update: End of January 2013

With Toronto finally experiencing a true Canadian winter, a walk to the Aura at College Park construction site was in order. With snowflakes coming down, it was challenging to take clear pictures of the tower. However, from the pictures below one can see that the cold weather has not stopped the construction progress. With the executive suites starting on the 56th floor, it's hard to believe that Aura Condos will start construction on these floors sooner then later. Aura at College Park: Steps from Ryerson University

 One of the strong selling features of Aura Condo at College Park is it's close proximity to Ryerson University. With a lot of international students flocking to Toronto for a post secondary education, Aura Condo is a perfect location for students to live. Once the building allows rentals, students will have an abundance of choices in floor plans and square footages to choose from. A visit to the Aura Condos construction site displayed yet again progress. Not only is it getting taller by the day, but the finishing touches on the lower floors are giving us a peak at what the finish product will look like. What a beauty!

Aura College Park Construction Update: October 2012

A visit to the Aura at College Park construction site showed that construction has almost completed the 38th floor. It's hard to believe that they still have 50 storeys to go! Construction Photos of P1 Commercial Units at Aura Condos

Well it looks like the P1 level of Aura at College Park is coming along nicely! A quick visit to the P1 level left us extremely impressed. Not only are the individual retail spaces finished extremely well, but the developer has spared no expense on the corridors and lighting. It is refreshing to see that the P1 level is lit very well and will provide a nice atmosphere for shoppers.

Keep in mind that the Aura residential units will have direct access to these shops on the P1 level and there will also be direct access to the subway and eventually a connection to Toronto's underground PATH system.

Welcome the Bank of Montreal

 A we know, Bed, Bath and Beyond, as well as Marshalls will be strong anchor tenants for Aura at College Park Condo.  Having such strong tenants, will completely revitalize the Yonge and Gerrard Corner. A visit to the Aura at College Park construction site revealed to us that the Bank of Montreal will also be a commercial tenant in the building. There is nothing more convenient then having a bank located on the ground floor of the condo. The Bank of Montreal helped cap mortgage rates for pre approvals when the project was initially selling. This alone shows that The Bank of Montreal is a natural fit for a commercial tenant at Aura at College Park.

Retail Shops at Aura at College Park

Even though the residential units at Aura at College Park won't be ready for occupancy for some time, doesn't mean that the retail shops won't be. In fact, it looks at though occupancy for these units located on the P1 level of the condo will be ready for occupancy starting in the next few months.

With close to 100 of these owned retail units, it is expected that there will be a variety of tenants to compliment the above floor retail comprising of Bed, Bath and Beyond as well as Marshalls. Smaller merchants will have the opportunity of running a variety of businesses such as food options in the food court area as well as other business types of their choice. Like any commercial transactions, there will be restrictions implemented on what types of businesses can be run however, there will still be many options for owners and tenants of these shops. Aura Construction Update: August 8th, 2012

Aura at College Park was definitely basking in the sun today on the corner of Yonge and Gerrard. With the retail component taking shape along with the glass starting to frame the residential component, there is no doubt that Aura Condos will be a considered an architectural beauty amongst Toronto's finest condos. A visit to the Aura Condos construction site today showed that the building is well under progress with changes obvious on a weekly basis. Aura at College Park Construction Update: May Long Weekend

Last time we checked in, Aura was just finishing the shell of the 23rd floor. A visit to the College Park area this weekend, showed that they are now on the 27th or 28th floor. They are definitely building quickly! From the photos below, it looks like they are also putting the glass on the outside, starting from the lower floors. It's hard to believe that they have another 50 storeys to go! Aura Condo at College Park in will definitely be a Toronto Landmark. We are looking forward to watching this condo go up- floor by floor!

Location! Location! Location!

The corner of Yonge and Gerrard is starting to change already with the Aura Condo construction well underway. The entire corner will be completely revitalized once the condo is complete and the retailers are operating. With Bed Bath and Beyond occupying an entire floor of the Aura Condo, it's safe to say that the corner of Yonge and Gerrard is set to be a shopping destination for many. It will be a well welcomed addition to the neighbourhood! The Aura Condo location is still said to be one of the most desirable in the City of Toronto. With the universities and hospitals close by, along with access to the PATH system and the subway, it's no surprise that any condos, especially Aura would sell out so quickly.

Aura at College Park Construction Update: September 16, 2011

Aura at College Park officially has the shell for the retail component of the tower.  The retail component of Aura comprises of the first four floors with the residential units starting on the fifth floor. With huge national tenants leasing out the retail space of these floors, there is no question that this building will completely change the Yonge and Gerrard corner. The fifth floor of the building will also be home to an incredible recreation facility including a state of the art fitness center. This building cannot be built quick enough! The lower residential floors (5-55) have completed their colour selection and are now looking to occupy sometime late next year. The executive floors which start on the 56th floor have started their color selection and along with the penthouse units, have a later occupancy. The builder made the conscious decision to have two condo corporations individually for the lower floors and the upper floors which will allow the owners of the lower floors to move in quicker.
