Aura Construction Update: January 2013

We wanted to make sure you to give you all the first Aura Condos construction update of the year! It's hard to believe that it is 2013 and that Aura, at College Park launched in 2008. The project sure has come a long way. We are looking forward to watching and monitoring Aura's construction process for this year. Before we know it, residents will be moving into the tallest condo in Toronto!

Aura at College Park: Steps from Ryerson University

 One of the strong selling features of Aura Condo at College Park is it's close proximity to Ryerson University. Finishing Construction Touches at Aura Condos

 With so much focus on the height of Aura Condos at College Park, we thought we would give a construction update on the lower portion of the condo. The builder has spared no expense in ensuring that the podium of Aura at College Park is completed with the up most sophistication. Not only will the additional effort the builder has put into completing the podium guarantee the revitalization of the Yonge and Gerrard corner, but also the opening of the 55 000s/f  Bed, Bath and Beyond yesterday.

Bed Bath and Beyond Sign is Up!

A visit to the Aura at College Park construction site showed that the commercial tenant Bed, Bath and Beyond has officially put their sign up We have to say that this tenant alone is going to completely change the Yonge and Gerrard corner. We can't wait for the store to officially open!

14th Floor Terrace Units at Aura Condos

We took a stroll to the Aura at College Park construction site and managed to get a glimpse at the 14th floor storey terrace units. For those of you who not familiar with these units, there are only four of them facing south. What made them ultra special was that these extra large terraces came equipped with a BBQ hook up, a water hook up, a hot tub as well as a specialized landscaping. With outdoor space being such a luxury in the condo world, these units are sure to add increased value to these units. We look forward to seeing these units completed in the next year!

A visit to the Aura Condos construction site displayed yet again progress. Not only is it getting taller by the day, but the finishing touches on the lower floors are giving us a peak at what the finish product will look like. What a beauty!

College Park Condos on Bay Street

Aura at College Park will complete the College Park Condos series located on Bay Street. With the Bay Street corridor commanding some of the highest rental rates and resale values in the city, there is no doubt Aura at College Park will also contribute to the demand in this area upon completion. Aura Construction Update: White Siding Completes North West Side of Condo

 A stroll around the Aura Condo at College Park construction site showed the finishing touches of white siding being completed on both the north and west sides of the condo. This final touch adds a refreshing touch to this relatively "grey" corner. With the commercial component of Aura Condos consisting of the ground floor to the 4th floor, it appears as though the white siding will differentiate this component of the tower from the residential portion. Only time will tell as construction of this high rise is still well underway!

Terraces and Balconies on Aura at College Park Condos

A lot of new condos, specifically pre construction condos are being sold now with no balconies or terraces. This seems to be a newer trend as before almost all condos were sold with some type of outdoor space.

Aura at College Park not only boasts generous balconies but there are may units that have huge enormous outdoor spaces. Some units have terraces that are over 1000 square feet. These type of outdoor spaces are hard to come by in Toronto condos. Aura Condos which will be 78 storeys offers outdoor spaces and terraces up to and inclusive of the 56th floor . After this floor, there is no outdoor space due to the extreme height of the condos.  As we know, green space is definitely a commodity in the City of Toronto. With so many condos going up, its hard to find outdoor space which is not only centrally located but esthetically pleasing.

With College Park Condos being located in the heart of the city, it is a real treat to have such a nice park located right in College Park. Not only is there a fountain in the summer, but this water feature turns into a skating rink in the winter time. A visit to the Aura at College Park construction site revealed to us that the Bank of Montreal will also be a commercial tenant in the building. There is nothing more convenient then having a bank located on the ground floor of the condo. The Bank of Montreal helped cap mortgage rates for pre approvals when the project was initially selling. This alone shows that The Bank of Montreal is a natural fit for a commercial tenant at Aura at College Park.

Aura at College Park Construction Update: August 27, 2012

A visit to the Aura at College Park Condo construction site yesterday showed that the condo is still being built at a fast pace. With the executive units starting on the 56th floor, there is no doubt in our minds that the shell for the lower floors (5th-55th floors) will be completed by the end of the year. We made a lot of neat observations while visiting the site so keep checking in with us for regular posts and construction updates!
